Drink Your Vinegar!

ACV (apple cider vinegar) drinks are some of my favorite morning detox drinks, and it’s not as weird as you’d think, I promise!

I use either a mason jar or a plastic venti tumbler from Starbucks for mine, but I’ve seen tons of people use whatever large cups they have on hand.

What does this concoction include?

  • 1-2 tbsp of ACV (however much you can handle! I use the Bragg’s brand; organic + with the “mother”) You can always start small and increase your amount as it become more palatable to you. NEVER drink it straight – the acidity is bad for your teeth and throat!
  • I fill the rest of the cup with water OR fruity tea (blueberry or peach are my go tos)
  • Stevia; to taste (some people don’t like it too sweet, some do!)
  • Flavored extracts; 1 tsp at a time, to taste (orange, lemon, strawberry, whatever you want! I get mine from Walmart.)
  • 1 tsp ginger root (you can get this in a squeeze bottle in the produce aisle at your local grocery store) Sometimes I’m lazy and forgo this step.


It’s a good sipper to have throughout the day and it comes with so many added benefits!

Here are 3 of my favorite extract combos:

  1.  Strawberry & Lemon
  2.  Banana & Coconut
  3. Cherry & Lime


Some benefits of drinking ACV include its anti inflammatory properties, its an anti bacterial that boosts the immune system, it helps your gut and aids in digestion, it can relieve bloating, and so much more!

Grab a shot glass, some water, and your favorite extracts and make this part of your routine!

  • Today I’m grateful for the things about me that I always considered to be my “bad” qualities. 
I think “bad” qualities are something we all possess, but I also think they’re useful in the sense that they do a job to weed the people out of our lives that aren’t beneficial to our end game- whatever that may be. 
So I’m listing my “bad” qualities this morning and I’m going to repurpose them. What good have they brought me? 
Some of the good I’ve come up with include: clarity, new surroundings, a chance to do what i need for myself, a new appreciation for life, love for myself that I didn’t realize I had, and so many more. 
If you’re feeling especially down about yourself, I challenge you to make a list of the things you don’t love and repurpose them. Think about what kind of good came out of your bad qualities and embrace that. 
I fully believe we are who we are for a reason and we should probably stop trying to be what we think people want us to be, and we should just.. be. Good, bad, and everything in between. You’ll be surprised who and what you attract.

It’s just what happens. But I’m going to try my damndest to channel the inner freebird inside me and learn to roll with these changes instead of trying to control them. 
We’re not in control of what happens. We’re only in control of our reactions and the choices we make.
