Hi friends! Today we’re talking about makeup, skin, and weather changes. I’m partnering with CVS and NEUTROGENA® to show you guys their line of “SkinClearing makeup” and what it can do for you! Neutrogena® SkinClearing® makeup covers up and helps prevent breakouts while you wear it. Which… I mean – Serious kudos to them, because I WISH I had this as a teenager!

Fall is a weird season. Like an “in between” season where you grab a sweater in the morning and you’re dying by 2pm. You put on a full coverage foundation in the morning, and you come home lookin’ like ya done melted through the work day. And none of that is good for your pores. Obviously.

I had never heard of these particular products until I started working on this campaign and I actually bought them early so I could play with them and test their wear throughout the day to offer up a more accurate and honest review/post about them. BUT -I love, love, love, the idea of a skin clearing makeup line, honestly. As someone with acne-prone skin, wearing makeup that won’t make it worse or might even help? Sign me up! I was so stoked to try these in my normal skincare routine.

So there are 5 different products I’m talking about today and I’m just going to show you how I’m applying them and what my makeup routine is going to look like for the fall season! I think it’s super important to go into new seasons with new outlooks, new trends, and new inspiration. And this Fall, NEUTROGENA® is helping me!

After washing and using a little moisturiser, I go in with Neutrogena® SkinClearing® Makeup. This is formulated for acne-prone skin, it is the first and only liquid makeup foundation with Micro-Clear technology that not only treats blemishes, but also helps prevent emerging acne breakouts for clearer skin, AND the Micro-Clear technology boosts the power of salicylic acid by breaking through oil and unclogging pores for fast acne relief. Developed by dermatologists, this oil-free formula controls shine and won’t clog pores.

It’s a matte formula, which I loooove, and it’s not too heavy on the skin- which is the first thing I always notice with a liquid foundation. It’s more sheer-medium coverage for me with my acne scarring and lumps & bumps, but overall I really like this. Throughout the day, it wears pretty well. I’m willing to bet it’ll hold up against apple picking, pumpkin patches, eatin’ good food, and being outdoors for football, tailgating, or whatever other activities you may have planning for this season!

Next, I use the  Neutrogena® SkinClearing® Blemish Concealer for my under-eye baggies (they’re designer [ ha-ha, I’m hilarious])

I actually LOVE this concealer. I bought it a bit darker than what I would normal go for- I love me a bright under eye. But it’s totally fine. You just twist the bottom until it comes out of the middle of the applicator. It’s compact, doesn’t require a brush (bonus points) and a little goes a long way.

Neutrogena says, “Help conceal blemishes and help clear them up with Neutrogena SkinClearing Blemish Concealer. Providing natural-looking coverage, this double-duty concealer reduces the visibility of acne and other blemishes while also helping to improve your skin. The formula contains Micro-Clear technology with salicylic acid acne medicine to help quickly eliminate and prevent pimples. Developed by dermatologists, Neutrogena SkinClearing Blemish Concealer is non-comedogenic and oil-free so it won’t clog pores.”

From my use, I’d say it does a fair job covering blemishes and it does look very natural. I LOVE that it’s all oil free and promotes healthy skin. We need all makeup to be this way, right?

Lastly, I’m powdering my face with Neutrogena® SkinClearing® Mineral Powder. Since I already have a liquid foundation on, I am going in light with this so I don’t look too cakey. This product’s two-sided applicator provides a fresh, shine-free look. Containing minerals plus Micro-Clear technology with salicylic acid acne treatment, this non-comedogenic formula works to clear and help prevent breakouts while being gentle to skin. The compact also contains oil-absorbing powders for shine control that’s gentle on the skin. A mirror and applicator puff are included.

The oil absorbing powders is what I’m HERE FOR.

To finish my look, I’m using Neutrogena® Nourishing Eyeliner in Spiced Chocolate & Neutrogena® MoistureSmooth ColorStick in Pink Nude. After a little eye shadow, contour, eyebrows, and mascara, I’m done!

I love my makeup to be neutral and natural and over all kind of low key. In the fall, I definitely tend to deepen and darken the eyes, so this is definitely a look I’ll be repeating!

Xo, K

  • Being chronically ill doesn’t make you a “burden”.
You’re not some unfortunate thing that happened. You’re not “less than”, an “inconvenience”, or “annoying”. You’re not your illness.
What you ARE, is:
* Every bit as much a person as anyone else.
* A complete and total BADASS for handling the cards you’ve been dealt ON TOP of doing life just like everyone else.
* Deserving of a person that’s understanding, supportive, and doesn’t make you feel GUILTY for things that are beyond your control.
And I hate that this is something I have to constantly remind myself of.

  • I’m really struggling with the holiday spirit this year. Maybe because I’m growing up, maybe because life is weird right now. Who really even knows. I’m just super stoked I’m home with my favorite peoples. ✨🌲
