I’m wearing a lot of new stuff since I last did one of these beauty round-up posts so I thought I’d share! Fall is the best season for makeup (in my opinion) because it’s not too hot, so makeup isn’t melting off my face, aaand you can experiment more with deeper looks because fall is the season for mauves and purples and maroons and deep golds!

I started using the Urban Decay Optical Illusion makeup primer. This season I am working to tackle pore size and acne scarring in my beauty routine so along with skin care, this plays a huge role in masking them until I can get my skin even! It’s a really thick formula (which I LOVE) so it does a great job in filling in around lumps, bumps, scars, and more, creating a much smoother surface for makeup.

This Wet n Wild foundation is the BOMB.COM. It’s like six bucks, and I found out about it on Casey Holmes’ youtube channel where she did a full face of drugstore makeup (Wet n Wild edition) and she had so many positive things to say about it! The coverage is great and it doesn’t make my skin super oily throughout the day which is exactly what I need. and I love the little spatula applicator. LOL.

This is and will always be my #1 love when it comes to foundation. Bare Minerals Power Foundation is my favorite. I don’t use it much in the fall, but was all about it over the summer because of how easy it is to apply and how oily my skin gets in the heat! For now, I throw a little on top of my liquid foundation because my liquid foundation is still a little pale for my skin tone (give me a month or so and it’ll match perfectly) but since this is a bit darker, it helps create a better match.

This is the Physician’s Formula contour palette. What drew me to this was the middle shade. I liked that it was more of a grey tone that an orange/bronze tone- since I’m typically kind of pale this kind of color definitely suits me better than a bronze/gold contour shade.

I was all about this in the summer because sparkly gold is my favorite look for summertimeee! I think it’s pretty and looks good with tanned skin. I am still using it because I’m still holding on to a few summer things, and it’s almost out, so I’m trying to use it up – but this stuff is awesome. You can use it as a primer OR a highlight. I choose to use it as a highlight mostly, and I think it’s SO pretty. I WILL be on the lookout for a white highlight for my next one though.

I got this in the mail from Influenster and I LOVE it. I think the shades are perfect for fall and the colors are really pigmented which is always nice. The only thing I’d change is the metallic-y white (second swatch on my hand) is a bit yellow-tinted so it’s not my favorite for inner eye highlighting. Otherwise, I think the 3rd shade is gorgeous, I love the first one, and the gold is PERFECT. I have been all about some gold lately.

So… lol. I used to wear this scent in middle school and it’s so nostalgic to 7th grade – like I remember this smell, Kanye West’s Gold Digger, and the Black Eyed Peas My Humps. I found this at Tj’s and obviously had to get it…

Literally just clearance mascara because I’m a baller on a budget and my brow powder from Sephora. It was like $12 (find it here) and you need a tight angled brush to use it, but I’ve had it for like 6 months, so I’d say it’s doing pretty well. Still trying to get my hands on Wunderbrow, though..

I got this Tarte blush in my Sephora birthday present but like.. I actually love it? I’ve been using it a lot the last few days and it’s just… pretty.

I don’t know if you’ve ever given e.l.f. or Wet n Wild brushes a chance but I’m not mad at them. And they’re like 1-2-3 bucks a piece depending on the size of the brush. Definitely check them out!

This fall I am OBSESSED with nude lips. I know ’tis the season for the dark lippies but I’m just not on that train this year. I want ALL the nudes. These are my current faves – they can all be found at the drugstore – but I’m positive I’ll have a bigger collection by the time winter is here.

  1. Very interesting! I don’t wear makeup…. like, practically never, but if I could pull it off, I love the nude lip look.
