SMILE BRILLIANT: At Home Teeth Whitening! (& A Giveaway!)

If you only knew how vain I was about my teeth… When Jessica from Smile Brilliant emailed me, I was so stoked to work with them! I had seen this product around the internet before and had always been curious about using real “dentist technology” at home. So I obviously agreed to do a little collaboration, and it was so much fun!

Smile Brilliant is a professional grade teeth whitening kit that brings like, actual dentist-equipment into your home for you to do yourself! No office visit required!

Good for: Coffee stained teeth, wine stained teeth, tobacco stained teeth, and more! This stuff is… fantastic. To say the least.

So when you get your box, there are 6 pods you have to work with first before doing anything else. 3 are “base” pastes and 3 are “catalyst” pastes! You take one of each for your top teeth and one of each for your bottom teeth. The extra 2 are just in case you mess up. This part is a bit tricky because you have to do it within 60 seconds and then get the paste mixture (once all the white is mixed into the blue) into the tray in 30 seconds! Then you put it in your mouth to get the impressions of your teeth. You have to leave it on your teeth for 2-3 minutes (until it hardens/is no longer easily manipulated).  Once you get your trays done, you just stick them in the return envelope to be made into custom fitted teeth whitening trays!

Once you get your trays in the mail, you’re ready to whiten! It’s important you read the directions so you know whether or not to brush with or without toothpaste, how to use the syringes, and how long to use them for! After brushing first with NO toothpaste, you can open your whitening gel and put an even strip of gel along the middle of the front side (inside) of the tray. Repeat with the BOTTOM tray!

The instructions say to keep the gel on your teeth from 45 minutes to 3 hours! I can only handle about one hour before I’m dying to get them out. Sometimes due to sensitivity, sometimes due to just being annoyed with them. Also, my saliva production (lol) was like WAY UP every time I put these in. Probably because I was really weird about swallowing the gel, so of course I would have a problem – so I carried around a spit bottle. So cute.

Once you’re done with the whitening gel, brush your teeth WITH toothpaste, and then repeat all the above steps with the desensitizing gel. I didn’t think this part was necessary but after skipping it ONCE – I realized that it actually was totally necessary. It helps so much in being able to continue to whiten and even eat/drink after whitening! With this gel, you only keep it on for about 20 minutes and then you just spit it out – no brushing!

I’ve been whitening with this system for about 3 weeks now and the results are amazing! So much so, that I had to go to the dentist to have a filling on one of my front teeth replaced to match! LOL!

I have been totally impressed with this whitening system and how helpful everyone has been with every question and concern I’ve had! And I LOVE how amazing the results have been with just ONE syringe! I also love that I’ll have more to use if I ever feel like my teeth are getting a little dull.

If you’re interested in trying this out yourself, definitely check out their guide for what to do before buying AND check out this video!

  • Quote of the day: “Be alone. Eat alone. Take yourself on dates. Sleep alone. In the midst of this, you will learn about yourself. You will grow. You will figure out what inspires you. You will curate your own dreams, your own beliefs, your own stunning clarity, and when you meet the person that makes your cells dance, you will be sure of it, because you will be sure of yourself.”

  • Today I’m grateful for the things about me that I always considered to be my “bad” qualities.
I think “bad” qualities are something we all possess, but I also think they’re useful in the sense that they do a job to weed the people out of our lives that aren’t beneficial to our end game- whatever that may be.
So I’m listing my “bad” qualities this morning and I’m going to repurpose them. What good have they brought me?
Some of the good I’ve come up with include: clarity, new surroundings, a chance to do what i need for myself, a new appreciation for life, love for myself that I didn’t realize I had, and so many more.
If you’re feeling especially down about yourself, I challenge you to make a list of the things you don’t love and repurpose them. Think about what kind of good came out of your bad qualities and embrace that.
I fully believe we are who we are for a reason and we should probably stop trying to be what we think people want us to be, and we should just.. be. Good, bad, and everything in between. You’ll be surprised who and what you attract.
